- Tooth whitening (bleaching)
Most adult teeth have some degree of discolouration as caused by genetics, medications,
age, food, and drink. Bleaching can remove much of this discolouration and does not
harm teeth. For more detailed information, click here.
- Composite (white) fillings
These are an attractive alternative to the standard amalgam (silver) fillings that
can be used widely throughout all teeth. They can also be used as a simple and cost-effective
veneer over discoloured or misshapen front teeth, much like a false fingernail. They
are directly added to the teeth.
Like false fingernails, these are thin shells of porcelain to cover over discoloured
or misshapen front teeth. They are made in a dental laboratory and glued onto the
teeth at a second appointment. They have a much better appearance than composite
veneers.
These porcelain or porcelain/gold coverings fully encircle teeth. They offer the
best strength and appearance for badly damaged, discoloured, or misshapen teeth where
a veneer would be too weak. They can be used on all teeth, front and back.
